Major maritime photo exhibition by maritime historian and professional photographer Byron Huart at the National Lighthouse Museum this summer
Grand opening scheduled for May 27
New York, NY (MAY 18, 2016) — Mark your calendars for spring’s most anticipated, landmark photographic exhibition CITY of SHIPS – A Photo Exhibition by Byron Huart.
CITY of SHIPS captures the meaning, history and future of New York City and the many ships that visit our illustrious port city. It communicates how ships create and transform history and their importance to our daily lives. The exhibit will feature passenger ships, merchant ships, working harbor boats and military vessels. With beauty and grandiosity, Byron’s photographs capture the majestic presence of ships, the structures and nature around them.
The exhibition will run from May 27 through July 1 at The National Lighthouse Museum, 200 The Promenade at Lighthouse Point, Staten Island, NY.
Opening reception & press conference May 27 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
To celebrate the debut of the exhibition, Byron will hold an opening reception Friday, May 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. During the reception Byron will hold a press conference revealing new details of the exhibit & it’s next destination.
With great dedication and patience, he has created a collection of over 5,000 photographs, each one dispensing awe and reflection to the observer.
